Service Description

In the case of more advanced gum disease, we will recommend a deep cleaning. This procedure, called scaling and root planing or periodontal therapy, removes plaque and tartar that linger on teeth and smoothes the root surfaces where bacteria collect. Once periodontal therapy has been completed we will see you 3-4 times a year for perio-maintainence where we continue to perform through cleanings below the gums helping to prevent reinfection of periodontal bacteria and closely monitor with measurements of any further progression of periodontal disease and bone loss.
